An introductory post

Esports nowadays become one of the most interesting types of competitions.
So why is it happening? In this blog, I will talk about my experience in Esports, how it affects society, its future and answer the question of why mainstream media "hates" Esports.

From the name of the blog, you may already know that nowadays people are very interested in the Esports, millions of people watch video gaming tournaments worldwide.

Before, I will talk about Esport media and society, I have to talk about the definition of Esports.

According to Wikipedia: Esports (also known as electronic sports, e-sports, or eSports) is a form of competition using video games. Most commonly, esports takes the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players, individually or as teams. Although organized online and offline competitions have long been a part of video game culture, these were largely between amateurs until the late 2000s, when participation by professional gamers and spectatorship in these events through live streaming saw a large surge in popularity. By the 2010s, esports was a significant factor in the video game industry, with many game developers actively designing toward a professional esports subculture.

So what is actually an e-sports?
Basically, it is the competitive video games that are officially called a "sport" in most of the countries and players called athletes who are getting sportsmen country Visa`s.

Almost 20 years have passed since the first competitive game was released and since then Esport games changed a lot. Nowadays, the most popular disciplines are CS:GO, League of Legends and Dota 2. Prize pools in the tournaments for these games start from 1 Million USD.

Even though the popularity of Esports nowadays is huge, the mainstream media somehow hates it and didn't want to accept this so-called "phenomenon".
In this blog, I will talk about the significance of Esports and why media doing everything to promote only the negative side of it.
